Swimming & Diving
The 2026 NCHSAA Swimming & Diving Championships took place from February 11 – 14 at the Pullen Aquatic Center and Casey Aquatic Center in Raleigh.
Riverside Jr. Mihaly Lysander found the podium finishing 2nd in the 500 Freestyle and 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke.

Indoor Track
The 2026 Indoor Track & Field Championships took place on February 11 and 12, and February 18 and 19.

Jordan Men’s Indoor Track Finished Runner-Up.
Sr. runner Zach Prioleau, pictured right below, won the Farm Bureau Sportsmanship Award.

The 2026 Dual Team Wrestling State Championships took place on February 16 and 17.Â

Jordan Sr. Fares Alkurdasi won the 8A 175lb state championship.

Riverside Sr. Stephanie Diaz Mendoza won the 7A 152lb state championship.

Mens Basketball
The 2026 Men’s Basketball Playoffs took place between February 24 and March 14.Â
Southern Durham Spartans took home their first ever state championship on Saturday, March 14 defeating Mooresville 54 – 47.Â
Jr. Keyonee Terry won Most Valuable Player of the game.

Jr. AJ Morman, pictured below on the left, won the Most Outstanding Player Award.

Sr. Martin Ashley, pictured below on the right, won the Farm Bureau Sportsmanship Award.

Womens Basketball
The 2026 Women’s Basketball Playoffs took place between February 24 and March 14.Â
Southern Durham Spartans fell in the state championship game on Saturday, March 15 to North Mecklenburg 65-37. This is their second runner-up finish in school history.
